Hi All,

This may just be my inability to find something staring me in the face! Regardless, I could use some help.

I breezed thru the first 8 pages and was thrilled with Paul's efforts. Then came page 9 talking about blueprints and using them as backgrounds. The problem is I can find no link to obtain the blueprint required for the model being constructed! Am I simply overlooking something? Is the blueprint available?

A tutorial without the tools to complete it would be worthless so I must assume the blueprints are obtainable.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Jim

I havent seen the Tutorial you mention, But I'm betting that its purely how to use blueprints to aid in drawing the parts not that there is a Central Location of blueprints.
Google for example "EMD SD40-2 blueprint" and perhaps you will find a line drawing or if your lucky a "Blueprint" of your item.
I have never been very succesful at finding blueprints on the web, one other thing to search for is Painting Guides the railroads have to show the paint specs and design... Seen lots of those on the web and you can typically find alot of them on ebay...

Hi

If I recall correctly when the tutorial was first published the plans were in the then current edition of one of the model railway magazines in the UK. This would be about 12 to 15 months ago. I don't know if back issues would be available.

Regards

Brian

You are overlooking the bit where I said I couldn't supply the blueprints as they are copyright. I still don't understand why everybody is so keen to build another Y7 - how many of them do you want? Find a plan of something else, the principles are the same.

If you really, really must build another Y7 then download my model and make screenshots of it in Blender.
