Passengers on and off

Hi all,
VERY new to this and TS2009 is my first go.
I've built a new track using existing bits and bobs from the whole of the content menager. (Is a real mixed bag, AUS stations, UK track etc).

I have used Glasgow Central Terminus as one end of a route I have created, and I have a few stations dotted about. The stations all allow passengers on and off the train, but when it pulls into the Terminus no-one gets off.

Ive had a little play in the Content Creator Plus and can see the difference in the config files (I loaded the Canadian GC Station as it had passenger capability). I naively tried a cut and paste of the "queue" part of the config file but just got loads of errors.

I appreciate this Glasgow Terminus was created by someone but would appreciate some tips on how I could get it to handle passengers, or even if it is possible.

As I say, I am VERY noob to this and am a wee bit confused.

Cheers.

Uhl.

The main problem with this is that the Glasgow Terminus has the tracks already in place within the building and as such I cannot seem to join up with the "invisible" tracks as they overlay the ones in the building.

Any ideas?

Is there no way of just adding passener handling to the existing building?

Can you lower the station a bit to bury over the built in tracks? I've done this before with good results. With the built-in track covered, I then place the invisible stations in place and lower the platforms, using the station options, to the platform height. The invisible stations have their own track that is in place over the buried track so they do the work instead.

I hope I explained this correctly.

I'll have a play with it and see what I can find.

As for adding passenger handling, that would brake copyright laws, you would have to get permishion from the owner.

make sure your passengers cars will load/unload passengers

My cars load and unload all down the track until it gets to the Terminus, so I guess it's not them.

I shall have a play with sinking the building but I'm not confident that it is going to work properly or more to the point, it will probably look pretty poor.

Is a shame, is a cracking building!

Passengers

Just picked this question from yesterday.

In 2004 I use a command called Terminate Passenger Train that is on the dls.
Not sure if it works in 2009

Well, thanks for the welcome, nice to be here.

As for the terminate passenger train, that works fine on a station with passenger handling capability, so I guess it is all down to the building.

What language is being used in the scripts/properties for the buildings? Looks a bit like C++ or Visual Basic (in text form)

Anyone know?
