Passenger Trains - How to Setup and Run?

While the entry of the numbers of people to load into or remove from a passenger train is obvious it seems that some assets that are passenger based do not work well in my case. I understand that the train simply stops near the station and people appear and disappear and it moves on. Is this simplistic activity the standard or am I missing something?

That's pretty much it, Dick - there's no dynamic appearance of passengers sat in the carriage or similar such as in TS20xx.
 
Ok, thanks. I have focused on freight but wanted to add some flavor and was unsettled by the limited activity for passenger actions. But, as with real USA railroads, freight is king.

Some passenger equipment is configured with animated doors which open and close before and after passenger transfers (not animated) take place. I know of some where the conductor appears during boarding... but not animated. Sorry; it does add a little motion to the process.

Brisbane Trams Made by Motorman 1066 do have an animated conny in the center Facing forward and at tram stops he turns, walks to the Doorway, looks left & right then returns to the center, faces forward again, and rings the Bell, now that's as animated as it gets !

Today, not every car has visible passengers in them. In fact, very few cars can carry the passengers product, period! I am a little annoyed by this because I want to be able to interact with the coach and load and unload passenger with it instead of make believing they are. But to answer your question, there are coaches out there with visible passengers in them, it is just that not all of them have it. Also, there are no animations for the loading of really anything to be honest. What I mean by that is the REAL loading of a car. There is no forklift, wheel loader, crane or anything else for that matter that loads most of the freight rolling stock. Some interactive industries have animations that people have painstakingly made, like coal mines, rotary coal dumps, etc, but not a lot of them have animations. It is neat to see someone put the time and effort into making complex animated industries, but they are pretty hard to find.

All my passenger car load/unload. To have an animation of loading a car the car has to stop within about one foot to lineup right, something Trainz AI can not do.

Way back when TRS4 was in Beta passengers to walk out of the station, sit or stand and when the train stopped walk into the car, walk to seat and sit, it never worked.
