Passenger Station Platform: stand-behind line question

How many feet back from the track should I place my white safety line on the platform so people stand a safe enough distance from the track as the train pulls in?

I didn't see anything on a quick glance, but somewhere around 6-12" is what i usually see.

I would assume the line to be far enough away so if a door opened outwards it would not hit you.
