Paint Shed

Can I use paint shed from TRS2004 with TS 2009? That's all I'd like to know.

If you use the 2004 paintshed to "create" an asset, you will be able to import it into 2009 (it will not appear there automatically) but you will get at least one error when you do. Paintshed will produce (usually) a product that references the older .pm format and will only work "well" in compatability mode. The assets available in Paintshed are so limited is it even worthwhile to work with?

I am not even sure that all of the paintshed "meshes" are available in 09. I know that some are but since I gave up on paintshed in 04 and have used paintshop pro ever since, I can not say with certainty that all the PS products will or will not work in 09.

For best results, search the forum for reskin and use the approaches there instead of the long abandoned Paintshed!

I think there was a format change betwen 2004 and 2006 I dont think it will work. good luck. This is just a hunch at this stage. Hope you get some more postings.

I have had no problem in 09 with stuff painted in 04.
