Hi

Im new to the Trainz simulator and also to this forum. I recently purchased Trainz simulator 2 for mac and I am trying to go through all the easy mode levels to develop my skills and practice driving. Its a very good simulator but I have found that during the level Balezino to Mosti evening I can't seem to get the train to operate. I have followed all the instructions to the best of my abilities. This include turning on the following switches Fans, Management (GW), Compressor 1-2 and pantograph. when I shift the reverser to forward and operate the throttle the train just seems to rev and remain stationary. If there is someone who has experienced with this issues and knows a work around your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Did you release the brakes? Pressing 'Q' will release the brakes and you can go. If you haven't already, then I suggest doing the tutorials first.

Problems operating training between Balezino- Mosti (evening level)

Hello and thank you for the timley response and the advice, much appreciated. In answer to your question, I have cleared all the tutorials, which has lead me to explore more of the game and I have also released the breaks as you mentioned in the above scenario. I have listed below the procedure that I have followed to operate the train. Mind you the problem only occurs on the (evening) level between Balezino- Mosti all other levels in this section follow a similar operating procedure but I don't encounter the same problem.

Here is the procedure I have followed to operate the train, which the tutorial asks that I do:
Raise the pantograph (there are two pantograph switches available but only one switch seems to operate at any one time). To remedy this problem I have clicked into the extra controls section in the top right panel and was able to raise both pantographs) i'm not sure if this is necessary, I was just going through a process of elimination. I have tried all three position front, back and both none have made any difference to operating the train.
Turn on the management switch the switch I have found is listed as management (GW) I assumed this is the same thing
Turn on 2 compressors switches
Turn on both fans (this is problem because I have only found one fan switch, but it is written in plural as in Fans! I am assuming I am turning on more than one fan and that this is all that is necessary)
I have released the breaks this includes the train break and the independent or (Ind) break.
Shifted the reveres to forward and raised the throttle. you can here the engine begin to rev but it remains stationary.
I'm not sure if I am doing anything wrong or whether the switches need be turned on in a specific order?

Cheers

The independent brake is the problem. It's already released so you don't need to mess with it.
