I understand TS2009 is designed for XP and Vista. I still have W2K, and plan to upgrade to XP.
I just received the CD, and out of curiosity tried to run it. And of course it didn't work. What I don't understand is that it requested NT version 5.01.
I know 5.1 is XP, but what is 5.01?
Is this a misprint?

Exho,

You might like to consider upgrading your PC to Windows 7 (bypassing XP and Vista). Windows 7 release candidate is availble (free) here.

Being a release candidate (i.e. post Beta testing but pre public release) it will still have some bugs but I hear that those who have used Windows 7 say it's good. I believe TS 2009 runs on it OK (search this forum/the net to confirm).

Note that this is a free version and is time limited - see the link above for details. After it expires (March 2010) you will have to fork out the cash for a licensed version.

Of course if your PC is vital to you you may not wish to take the risk.

I have been running `09 on windows 7RC 64bit ultimate would reccomend this version have had no problems.

Plus 64bit will let you use over 2GB of ram and will run all 32bit software ( it installs all 32bit software into "Program Files x86" )

Only fault i have found is that it doesn't come with email client installed
I installed Mozilla Thunderbird.
