One Heck Of An O-Gauge Layout I'd Love To See In Trainz

I'm sure the track plan could be found somewhere, and reproduced.

Actually, they have a JPEG of it on their page and you can download the plans for some sort of software called RR-Track (which I don't have). I'd kind of like to try my hand at it......

I've got "builder's block" going on with the Mon Valley route right now: With work and school and probably 40 miles of track on both sides of the river and another 25 miles out Ten Mile Branch to Emerald Mine, it seems like I'll never get finished and it has me so overwhelmed that I haven't worked on it lately. Maybe something like this is just what the doctor ordered to gain some sort of sense of accomplishment......

I was working on it, and computer crash lost it all. Had it 50% complete.

The track plan is on the site, and believe me the limitations of Trainz causes issues making this.

Posted the website as i feel that it is an awesome layout and may be of interest of someone else to do it.

mcguirel, that sucks to hear. But thats true about limitations. I can't do a layout of my area because of the hills method is annoying to work with.

I agree, it is an awesome layout. I watched one of the videos and it had the trackwork broken down by the levels and I took a quick screenshot of each. What sort of limitations did you run up against? I haven't started doing anything more than setting up a new route on a flat baseboard, then throwing down a 32' and 12' ruler (in O Scale), and it IS tiny. It doesn't even take up a single baseboard. It seems like a HELL of a lot to fit in such a small space.

(And then I got sidetracked when I broke out the calculator and discovered that this O scale layout would fit in 3.6' by 9.6' if it were N Scale, and that I DID have that much space in my house that could be available, and that I don't have cats in the house anymore to menace whatever I build.....)

I can see that with where the grade connects between the levels. Maybe some sort of spline-based embankment?

Absolutely Necessary and many versions to replicate this layout.
New Tunnels are necessary, a pain in the arse to make.
