Once again CM3.7 is Not Responding

While happily downloading content CM3.7 (TS12SP1HF4) has stopped responding. To the best of my recollection this never happened to me with CM3.6 :'(

What is the recommended shut down proceedure? I have two trainzutil.exe and taddaemon.exe open as well as Content Manager v3.7.

Task Manager shows Content Manager v3.7 (Not Responding) . . . Not Responding and Content Manager v3.7 . . . Not Responding. The 2 trainzutil and taddaemon are listed as . . . Running.

Arrrgh!

If I understand your post correctly you have two instances of Content Manager running and this could be your problem, Trainz does not like two Trainz programs running at the same time. If you close your second Content Manager before you start doing anything you might stop the problems. I occasionally get two launcher panels come up but I also get an error message when the second launcher fires up. I just close one of the panels and everything runs alright after that. I do not know why two panels start because it does not happen with any of the other shortcuts on the desktop so I do not think it is me trying to start Trainz twice.

Yes, there does appear to be two instances of the CM open but I didn't open the second one. Apparently the second one opened while the first was doing stuff as it did not show up earlier. Since I had no answer to my question I stopped each instance of trainzutil first then the second instance of the CM. There was no reaction after sitting for awhile so I shut down the taddaemon and then the first instance of the CM.

No apparent damage, the CM restarted without problems.

Still it seems that CMv3.7 is much more unstable than the good old 3.6. Ah well.
