Backdating is fun.
While I am enjoying the 3 or 4 steam engines that I have in TS2010 that use the new steam chuff system, I've noticed that the other 90% of my steam fleet have had their sounds thoroughly distorted. They sound much too slow, low pitched, and quiet. On most of them, the track sounds are louder than the steam sounds. I've tried downloading some of the updated versions of the older engines on the DLS, but it seems like the only thing updated on them are the build numbers, which in some cases causes the engines to run poorly (especially the old NYC Mohawks). Is there anything else I can do to get these older engines sounding right again? Would replacing their e-specs and sounds allow them to possibly run with new sounds?
