Ok, now this is wierd!

Here's a wierd problem I'm having in TRZ2006. Upon starting a test run on my self created layout, the TRZ2006 stock diesel locomotives are acting wierd. It's not constrained to any type of loco, but it's a persistant problem with all of them. Upon start up in DCC mode, the exhaust smoke is visible. After driving down the track a ways, I notice that the graphics pause for a milli-second and the smoke disappears (and never comes back). All I get is little "puffs" from each exhaust location. I don't have a problem with any of the steam locomotives, just the diesels. Any help on this one? Graphics? I'm one of those "fortunate" Windows Vista users.

Most of the diesels will spew very little smoke when they are running at speed. Are you using ones that are supposed to throw more?

What happens when you stop the engines and start them moving again?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that. When I meant that the smoke goes away for good, I also meant in stopping and starting again. I realize that they won't smoke while at a constant speed. Just doesn't seem realistic to see a nice string of those SD40-2's pulling on a 100 car plus train w/no smoke "coming out of the hole".
