Odd Problems

Okay I have been having some problems I made a new session for the.Clovis 2 Route I used some diesels the SP.SD40T2 ATSF GP60Ms now the Train will move forward like always. The for some reason it will instantly fo in reverse.I can not stop my Trains why would this be happening for?

Have you set up a new train at the end of the route near a Portal? You need a train length or two to be safe or the Portal will ~suck~ the train back into oblivion irrespective of Driver Commands.

The other possibility on Clovis is if the train starts from the Eastbound Fuel Racks the slightest hint of an obstruction will see it start forward then reverse out to take the cut-off route to Jarales. You must have a Nav Via command referencing one of the main line TMs between the racks and Jarales to guarantee forward progress.

If the problem is somewhere else on the route post more details, but those are the two solutions are the most likely contenders...

When I start the session it says to California so how do I start in Belen? Also I am having trouble with the BNSF,ES44,UP SD70M.Missing dependencies or there listed in red when I am choosing a engine.?

Pretty much all the locos for that session are broken in TS12 without a fair bit of work. Have you 'fixed' the locos? The route/session are really TRS04/06 and while they are not 'officially' supported in later versions I am happy to try to help. The thing is that some folks can fix those locos to run in TS12 and some can't. I'm in the latter category, no matter what I try or how closely I follow the instruction threads most of Frank's locos remain stubbornly broken on my system. If you are vaguely computer-savvy it would be worth searching the forums for Sporbust or Sp_or_bust and have a look at the resulting threads. I know there is at least one current thread on the subject of fixing his locos in TS12...

Clovis 2 -right?

there are two sessions. 'One Way Traffic' DOES start in Belen, 'Meet Me at Vaughn' CAN'T start at Belen because it is using a different part of the route.

If 'One way Traffic' is dropping you into the session anywhere other than just west of Belen it is because the locos for the primary AI train are broken, need fixed and haven't shown up. As I've said before, it is a TRS04/06 route and you can't just drop that route and session into TS12. It simply won't work without you expending a fair amount of effort 'fixing' the locos.

If you want to run the route in TS12 your best bet would be to create a new session using built-in locos and rolling stock from the Mojave route...

Google the number part of the kuids, ignore the warning.
You probably can even enjoy the route while ignoring the errors.

About 1/3 of the way down the checkrail page you downloaded the route from there is a bold red heading "Content Not On The DLS". Under that heading there is a series of links. Every item in your list is linked to from the download page.

Ignore the warnings, nothing there will stop the assets from working.

Okay I was downloading the Montana Rail Link Route.Version 2 in the download station yesterday then for. Some reason some of the files.Had turned red said unknown error what dose this mean?

'Unknown Error' is a bit hard to diagnose without more info!

Both MRL and Clovis were good routes in their day, and they are both arguably still good routes in their way, but they are both old routes built on old versions of the sim and naturally enough they both use old content. Using 'old' content in TS12 raises a whole host of issues that are not present with 'newer' routes. I truly would advise you to start out using routes built in TS10 and up (probably TS09 routes would be OK also). Once you have mastered the basics that would be the time to start doing battle with older routes and content...

The only thing I can think of it being is if the route and/or one or more of it's dependencies is/are trainz-build 3.6 and the version of TS12 in use is less than 49922.

Similar has happened to me too in TR12 in the Mojave session, in DCC mode , but only after a had changed the locomotives from the original built ins. Possible then this does not occur in any standard trainz sessions . I noticed that it happens when locos are coupled facing different directions , ( strange - steam every time with me - incidental ? ), and I think they are dloads from other sources than the dls ) I can't recall whether it corrected after I changed them all facing the same direction, but I do remember that it corrected after I went out without saving and restarted.
The leading loco would be facing fwd but the pointer would work opposite when I start up ( portal problems perhaps ? ) , but then also whilst driving the train would suddenly slow down and when I check the DCC pointer is on the opposite direction to where It was. Then when I correct the pointer , it seems to correct itself a while later back to the normal direction and train handling is normal again.I might be barking up the wrong tree here guys, but that is what I found. Maybe it helps.
