NZ Auckland Passenger Trains

Hi all, thanks for looking at my thread. I'm a bit dissapointed that noone has modelled the new DC/SA/SD Class Auckland passenger trains for TRS2004/2006/Classics yet. These are really cool trains!

Anybody intrested in making these, feel free to email me at quick-computing@xtra.co.nz for more infomation on these trains. SA carriages are located between the DC Class locomotive and the SD drivers control cab.

There is reliable information that a model the much maligned/much loved DC is in the works and not too far away.

There is an existing model of the DC on the DLS, but it was only ever modelled as SG (the bogeys could not be swapped for 3f6i as the bogey attachment was too high for existing bogeys) - anyway, the cab/nose wasn't quite right and, somehow, the model became corrupted and (although still available) the bogey attachments are now all stuffed up.

As for the Auckland units - well, Auckland is another world as far as the rest of NZ is concerned. No other city/urban sprawl in NZ sports anything as bright, sparkling, modern and self-indulgent as the Britomart units (-: - so they're not really typical, are they?
