NYCTA R46 Overhauled car door closing sound

hey everybody im trying to edit the door closing sound of my Magicland R46 subway car but i'm having trouble trying to get it to play when my doors close.
I save it in WAV format and set it to 22 kHz and a 16 bit mono using sound recorder and it still wont play. i recorded a sound off of youtube of a r44 closing a door and it wont play. can some body tell me what am i doing wrong and what can i do to fix this. i ask magicland about it but he hasn't replied yet but until, can anybody help???????

Are you sure you put the sound in the right place in the R46 folder? BTW, it should go into the body folder of the R46 with the same name as the old sound. It should replace the old sound. Also make sure to backup all files before changing the sounds. I think people may really not have an idea on how to fix it, because if they did, they would help you.

i put the door sound in the body folder and saved it to a WAV file with sound recorder.

i don't know much about sounds in trainz, so if you did that, then i'm sorry, but i can't help you from here.
