Nvidia Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

Newegg is sending emails to everyone with GTX 980, GTX 970, and GTX 960, do not know if GTX 950 is in it.

And as I read it only for those who bought it before Nvidia admitted the cockup. I was well aware of the issues when I got a 970, which I got based on benchmarks and reviews, not advertising blurb, as probably, if truth were known did most of those getting the settlement.
Compensation culture strikes again....

To add NewEgg apparently have now taken down the blog page about the Cards affected. Apparently there were several Nvidia and AMD cards as well involved in the same lawsuit according to some sources, all very bizarre.

I won't get anything out of it since I've got the GTX780Ti and none of the mentioned cards.

What I have found with these things is the amount of compensation for the consumer is mere pennies compared to the actual payout the lawyers and the courts get. I once got a payment from Acer due the monitor size class action lawsuit back in the 1990s. Where people complained the diagonal measurement was bezel to bezel edge was not the same as the actual viewing area. The proposed settlement in this case is pretty high, and hopefully it's the one that they go with. With all the gazillion people involved in the monitor issue, I got a check from Acer for $1.25 or maybe $2.00 at the time.
