Hi all,

My son and I are new to the complex world of Trainz 12. We have done the tutorials and some of the included sessions. However, we're located in Denmark, so we would really love to drive Danish locos on a danish map. I have found all that on DLS and installed it to the game.

As there are no sessions with the DK map, I figured, ok, lets just add some locos and do some simple free drive around the map. That didn't seem possible to do - at least not easily.

So, are there anybody out there that can point me in the right directon? How can we just do a free drive on a route with no real purpose other just driving (to begin with anyway).

Do I need to master the suveyour to accomplish this or is there another (easier) way to do this?

Best regards
Stephan and Oscar

Find a route in the list, some will have a number to the right, this means there is a driver session for it.
Click on one without for a start. The next screen gives you the option to create session. Select this, and the route will load.
On the right of the screen select the lower option (or press F7). All available locos and wagons are there (scroll down). Highlight 1 with the mouse, find a piece of track and click the mouse button. Keep selecting until your happy.
The green arrow (over the loco) denotes forward.
Top left next to main menu is the quick drive button, click that and name the session.
If you want to stop you can save and resume later.

After spending LOTS of hours downloading, I just found out that "extra" from the main menu is actually pointing to the manual.

And from there, it's easy to see that the trick is F7 inside the surveyor for adding my own consist :o

Now my son can drive around the fine DK map with the Lint A, which is exactly what he wanted.
