I've just brought and paid for the blue comet and the duchess add on and nothing literally nothing happened nothing to down load nothing!:(
All I got was an email confirming that I paid for them and that was it apart from a link to Auran shop or something about status not even a thank you for buying their product. So I sent a ticket to the help desk stating this and quoted critical and still have no reply:(
Is there something I should know about? cause I wasn't expecting this.
Please help.
Thank you:confused:

Okay click the "Profile" tab located at the top this page(right below the TS210 banner). Then you will see a side bar click "Order History". You then should see your Duchess and Blue Comet order. Click that and it should lead you to a .exe file that you will need to download.

hth,
hert:wave:

Click the button next to the location bar and browse to the right place ...

Well I did that not sure what is the right place I did get ts2010 on steam:( and I got the downloads from Auron shop but I've given up anyway too much hassle mania to be bothered with all that I will try and see if I can get my money back probaly not:'( but I'm not going to buy anything from the araun store again if it is that much hassle. Not happy Mordin. But Thanks for all your help anyway.

Hi Everyone,

My guess is Mordin did manage to download the pack but when he tried to install it got the 'TS2009/TS2010 not found' Error message.

Mordin, if this is what is happening, it is because Steam installed TS2010 in a different folder than the standard Auran install.
The Installer looks for TS2010 in the standard Auran folder, if the user or a third party ( Steam ) change that folder name you get that Error message.

Some were in the install process there should be an option to manually navigate to the folder TS2010 is installed in.
Then the pack should install.

Hope this helps,
Lindsay

A lesson to be learned here.....

If you buy something from Steam, you must buy the rest of the DLC from them as well! It is not advisable to buy from else where as the Steam version will install into `C:/Program Files/Valve/Steam/SteamApps/common/` folder (C: is my steam location drive letter, yours may be different!). As Twodorgs says, navigate to the folder where TS2010 is installed in (see above text).

I hope that works?

Regards.

Well I've learnt my bloomin lesson the hard way!:'(
I did what you said and I still get the same thing "not found at this location" or something like that. I sent the help desk another ticket but it doesn't look hopeful:( .
Looks like I have to get back to boring old railworks:( but I'm certainly NOT buying their version of the Duchess the guy making it is very rude and has know idea about customer care(that's the Railworks version that is). I just begining to enjoy Trainz a lot too. Also on top of all that my Hornby model trainset has decided not to work as well:'( It is just not my day.
Maybe there is hope somewhere maybe.
But thanks for all your help anyway.
ps I need to edit my earlier post should say now instead of no.

Just got a reply from help desk and you can't add add ons from the Auran shop to the steam version of TS2010 EE at this moment. Why they don't give a warning is beyond me. Also why did I get a 20% discount voucher for the blue comet and also the Duchess is not on steam dlc. I am very not happy about this I think the whole thing stinks:( so much so for Trainz being a 1000 times better than Railworks!? I've never had any trouble downloading content from third party sites for Railworks. Matter of fact I don't think I have trouble downloading any content for ANY game. I think it is quite scandalous for Auran not to say or warn people that their products don't work. I said I will wait for an update but no idea how long for cause there is no ETA:(
This has taken all the enjoyment out of the game can't play anymore now.:(
Why no one else has complained about this is a complete mystery. If a normal retail did this they will be on watchdog on the BBC.
I still can't understand that no one has complained about this on the forums before it really is really really strange!.
Enough ranting for the day I will stick to my model railway.
Still not happy though. M

This is actually up to Steam to advise customers about, since it is their system that causes it to be incompatible with the regular add-on's.

The add-on packs on our websites currently work with all standard editions of Trainz (so long as they have SP3 installed/included), however due to the changes by Steam for their system, they will not work with this edition.

So far, we have not had any contact regarding this before your ticket to the helpdesk. However, as per my reply, we will be looking into an update to allow the packs from our website to be added into the Steam edition of TS2010 in future.

Sounds like the virtue of only buying Trainz directly from Auran is true again. ;-)

Mordin, do not give up yet. You still may be able to return your Steam copy of TS2010 fopr a full refund, and then grab the genuine Auran version of TS2010 from the Auran Shop. The current regular price of TS2010 from the Auran Shop is $39.99 Australian dollars (previously, it was $49.99  ;)). Your already-purchased add-ons should still be ready for you to download and install in to such a new Auran TS2010 installation, right, every one?

Trainz is one of the best railway simulators around. :D ;-) You would be missing out on a whole lot if you give up now. :'(

I have two 20% discount vouchers for TS2010 in the Auran Shop, and who needs two identical ones?.  ;) Therefore, I have a question for every one: Is it possible for me to transfer one of these vouchers to an other specific user? because I would be willing to let Mordin have one for him to use toward TS2010 from the Auran Shop if possible.

Thanks and regards.

Ah - the dreaded Steam bug (As I have always said, if you are going to buy a digital download, always buy it direct, as if you buy it from a third-party, you have virtually no leg to stand on if an addon does not work with it.

Retro00064, the option you will be looking for is 'Distribute Voucher' - from what I remember, you select the voucher you want to give to someone else, then you can enter the username of the user you want to give it to.

The Planet Auran Distribute Voucher page says the following (emphasis added):

In an aim to spread the word about Trainz and to increase the Trainz Community, Planet Auran members now have the ability to distribute First Class Ticket Discount Vouchers, with the added bonus of possibly receiving an Auran Shop Discount Voucher themselves.

Does it still apply to other (non-FCT) discount vouchers also?

Thanks and regards.

It may do - if not, have a look on the My Vouchers page for a 'Give Voucher' button.

Shane

The page has both an "Accept Voucher" and a "Reject Voucher" button, but it does not clarify if the "Reject Voucher" button will delete the voucher and it is then gone for ever, or if it will give you the option to distribute it to some one else.

Regards.

I think you have to accept it, then give it away.

Shane

How long could it sit unused if I accept it? I do plan on buying TS2010, but not any time soon. If it will still sit indefinitely (like it has been so far) if I accept it, then I suppose taht I could try. ;)

Thanks and regards.
