Not Impressed

:( I bought TS12 expecting some thing good, for multi players it probably is, but for people like me who like to build our own tracks and just play trains, I wasn't impressed. I created a small amount of track and had my 60 trains in the yards I create, 1 loco a train 10 trucks, I usually run the trains every so often when I have built some track, I pressed drive now and it wouldn't load, I tried it several times after I put down for train drivers. Never loaded once, I have now gone back to TS2009 which I know will load with 60 trains and with longer trains.

TRS12 dose take a long time to load. I have a I built back in TRS06 and its many miles long now. Try game booster next time it helps speed things up a bit. just a idea.

I would suspect that the problem is with your system configuration rather than with TS12 - I have never had any problems in loading TS12 layouts, no matter how large.

Have you tried running the TrainzDiag.exe utiltity found in the Program Files --> N3V --> TS12 --> Bin folder of the drive where TS12 was installed?

comfused here you talking to me or hem ?
My system is more then powerfull to run TRS12 duel core amd 4GB ram Gforse xg 440 video care.

I was talking to Train_Whiz but if you are having problems with long loading times (and how long is too long??) then you may also have configuration problems.

Just because you have a system that is "more powerful" with a lot of Video RAM (and I don't know where the GForce XG 440 fits in the hierarchy of video cards) does not mean that you have the system configured correctly. Do you have the latest drivers for all the built-in hardware, not just the video card?

Too many threads in these forums start out with the original poster claiming that TS12 is a dud and end up, after some discussion, with that same poster discovering that his specs were not really up to scratch or he had driver issues, or a host of other software and/or configuration problems that were the cause of his problems.

Where can I find this Game Booster, I am not up much with the computer except for operating trains on it.

yea I know my TRS starts up fine its just laggy in driver on surnten routes. but any info on small inprovemets are walcome all the same. :)

I have changed my resolution to my native screen resolution. This seems to fix the lag issues in the video. I have a pretty powerful computer because playing graphic intense games on a laptop will overheat it fast causing my lap to sweat. Also, as to the issues with the surveyor, in game sandbox editor, I've noticed my trains keep derailing when going over a junction. This is similar to real life when my model n trains always flew off the track, I feel like a elephant in a china shop. It will take some getting used to as all new things do when they are this complex.

I hope the beautiful vistas and train setups keep up. Id like to see some wonderful train setups that were created by veteran uses with the new 2012 software.

You'll get more than a sweaty knees from some laptops especially if the case begins to melt.

Your junction issues.
Check that the curves are not too tight and that the joints are all tight and level. Sounds like a model railroad HA!
