Today's Coast Starlight had a couple of interesting things about it.

3 Locomotives: 72, 197, 23 (P42's)

Special Coaches:

AMTK 10001 (Beech Grove)
AMTK Dome "Ocean View"
AMTK 10023 "Pacific Cape" (Coach)

Just wanted to let you West Coasters know (He is about 15-30 minutes late due to long stops)

Before I start, is /was it normal for the southbound Coast Starlight to be 15 - 18 minutes early at Santa Barbara? (Mind you this was a while ago)

I was yesterday. Today I was at lunch and saw him go by. Called 1-800-USA-RAIL to find out. Not sure if he is usually on time or not though. Only here once a year.
