You could save my life by answering this post, LOL. ok, it,s midnight, the wife, 4 cats and the neighbours are fast asleep. I,m happily using the Port Ogden and Northern modified route. driving a class 66 as it happens. I "luv" class 66,s. Anyway totally unexpectedly A horn blasts out at around 100 decibels waking the wife, 4 cats and probably the whole street! Apart from turning the sound off, which would take away most of the fun, Can you turn off the in game unsolicited horn sounds. I wrote this in a humourous way but my marraige could be at stake here, LOL.

If you was a thoughtful person you would put on some earphones... quite frankly... I feel sorry for your wife.

That's actually pretty funny, LOL. The 4 cats deserve it, not so sure about the wife because you'll probably never hear the end of it after that. I have a bunch of cats that wake me up in the way too early wee hours, looking for food.

Anyway, there is no option in TS2010, but TS12 has the sound volume adjustment built in. This is in addition to the regular Windows sound mixer adjustment, which hit everything at a global level.

Mine cost 90 quid. I wish I'd seen the ex's face when the paperwork landed on her doormat.

Not that I'm bitter of course.

Ear phones are a must for me, i'm only 15 foot from the bed and the wife reads lots of hard back books, ouch .
I have a good quality pair that sound great and are comfy to wear, Sennheiser HD 212Pro, cost £45 from a HiFi shop a few years ago.

If you are in multiplayer then ask, nay, DEMAND that everyone else remain silent. I'm sure they will co-operate with you on that.

If not in multiplayer, then remove all the sound triggers for the horns from the route, save, and use that route for your pleasure.
