Newbie Question

Rail Rider
Hi all. A Happy New Year to you! I was given trainz 2006 as an xmas gift and am enjoying it. I need help though, with iportal. If I start in the south, and send trains to the north, then log out of south and into north, how can i see the trains I sent from the south? or do I need another player on line somewhere in the world to help with that, and if so, how do I set that up?

Your help is much appreciated.
Clancy

Firstly, welcome to the forums.

To set it up in the way described, use the 'within computer only' and make sure the Iportal IDs match the relevant portals for the north and south parts.

Once a train is sent through, to view it in the other map, simply use the Find Object function (usually one of the ? icons at the top of the screen in Driver) and enter the name of the relevant portal, followed by the tick icon.

Shane, thanks for that quick response. From where do I access the "within computer" function? I am using the Tidewater North /South route and would really like to get a handle on this great route!

Thanks
Clancy

Click 'Via Internet' on the Iportal properties page to access this.

(To access the properties, use the ? tool on the Buildings tab on the portal)

If you go to Tidewater Rail Point... That is the entire route. (I think.)
