Over on TrainzDev the latest addition to the Trainz team has identified himself. Has this happened here as well and I've missed it?

Hello Everyone,

This Blog post is here to introduce myself to you all. I have recently returned to Auran to work on Trainz as the Customer Service and Community Manager, now what does this mean for all of you I hear you ask, for one it means that you now have a dedicated person dealing with your concerns and ensuring that we have the best community portal available to us. We will be seeing lots of changes as I ramp up our new features for the web and community and better processes will be put in place to streamline our customer service.

Now a little about me so you have some background.

I’ve been working in the gaming industry for 3 years now with a solid IT background before that. I’ve worked as a games master on several online games and during the last year and a half been setting up and managing teams for gaming Customer Service and Community Management, not least of which was working on Fury for Auran before so working here is no new experience for me enabling me to jump right in and get the new features implemented as quickly as possible.

I Hope that my experience and skills will enable us to further improve your experiences with Trainz and don’t hesitate to contact me (though of course we would prefer you use the official tools) and I look forward to working with such a solid and loyal community.

Mike

Probably why he hasn't posted here is because there'd be alot of people taking cheap shots at him for working on Fury. He worked on Fury, so what. Doesn't make him a bad person.

I also noticed last week that the newest member was ..... mmmmmm ..... what his name he used to work here ..... oh that's right John Banks :hehe:

Now what is he lurking around Auran again :hehe:

If he is around, Hi John and have a great "Trainz" experience again.

I guess I will contribute to this thread as its already been started.

As amigacooke has already posted what I created in Trainzdev there’s no real need to reiterate it, as of the end of last week I am taking over as the community and Customer Support Manager for Trainz, we have many new ideas and processes in the pipeline to improve our service to you as from my reading of the forums there are a few issues to address in this department.

From what I have gathered we have a fine community here and I’m looking forward to building it up further.

As for peoples comments on Fury, all I can say is experience comes in many forms, and all experience is good for future improvements.

Its good to see more human resources on Trainz

Adding more customer service to Trainz is a good thing.:Y: Good luck Spiffy aka Mike Crossman.:)

yay customer service. BTW what is this fury thing. I saw a bunch of ppl whining about how it wasnt working. Is it some sort of MMORPG?

Hello

All the ex's and newbies are lurking around Auran

Ahsan:hehe:

Um, Mike, seeing as you're taking over customer service around here, you might want to consider changing your last name to Crosshairs... :D

Once im done revamping the systems here there wont be any need for that, though this will take time to acomplish so do not expect results over night :)
