I'm sure you could commision that to Jointed Rail and see what happens:wave:

I wonder if Athearn fixed the problems with some of those models. I remember when they were first realeased, there were problems where some models had warped trucks and detail parts damaged and/or missing. It's possible it's cleared up now but I haven't been using my model trains enough and I haven't been paying attention to much of that stuff recently so I don't know:confused:

well form what I was told thay were fixed and these guys are hot off the press the owner at my hobbie shop said these selling out faster then that can stock them. form this unit nothing worng it rund slinty not a sound and I have very bad track thats damged form were and taire this unit worked well.

I'm shore joint rail would wont to get there hands on this one shes worth the time and money I would build it but its too much for my level of skill. don't mean i can't spply pics of the loco. I love to see this best in TRS12.

It's a nice model, but way to long for my layout. I have tight curves, but only run SW's and 40" boxcars!:D

I have a 4'x8' table that I have been working outside of Trainz, I am not sure what I can run, as I have a tunnel w/ 24" radius tracks, any advice?

I use to have a 4x8 layout with dule track I used 18'' and 14'' radius craves, 24'' radius shode be fine you can run lager locos on 24'' with out them over hageing the bigger radius the more it looks real wend your train gos arount the track. for my self 18'' is what I reader ues i'm not worryed about the over hage part as long as the train runs.

We need to get these in TRS :D

Usually any 4 and/or 6 axel locomotives are able to negotiate 18' radius curves. But on a bigger layout, a larger radius would be better. Anything larger than an 18' radius curve on a 4 X 8 layout wouldn't leave much space (can't remember).

24'' radius curve are pushing it the track will meet the eage of the table most 4x8s ues 18'' 24s are the next size up form 18'' I do bleave. I think hes safe with 24'' I would't go any more then that. my N lay out is a funny size all to gether. Haveing 24s leaves little room to build and harder to work with on a 4x8.

Athearn SD70M-2

As per the issue of quality and sound improvements, all I can say is wow.. Athearn stepped up their game on this locomotive class, correcting not only the sound issue, but also the operation. Yesterday I went up to my club layout, and had the pleasure of viewing a brand spanking new NS SD70M-2 make its way around the layout. Here's a video I took of it on a longer stretch:

The motor itself was very quiet, and pulled this stack train without issue.
If anyone is looking one, ModelTrainStuff.com has some excellent deals, I think around $205.00 with sound/DCC.
