Details:

The Southern Pacific's SP-1 Class of locomotives had a 225 PSI boiler pressure, 63.5" drivers, three cylinders, producing 86,589 lbs. of tractive effort. They were also equipped with a Franklin C-2 booster engine on the trailing truck that boosted the tractive effort to a total of 96,530 at low speeds. This version specifically models the early SP-1 Class with a boiler tube pilot, big headlight, a spoked main driver, smoke deflector, and various other details of the Early SP-1 Class. Includes numbers 5000 - 5015. This version is dressed up for passenger service over Donner Pass. The local crew has taken great pride in this specific locomotive, giving it a Russia Iron boiler jacket, white walls, and a very shiny coat of black paint everywhere else. It would not stay this clean for long, as the many snowsheds and tunnels would quickly dirty up the locomotive. There are numerous features on this locomotive, and an incredible amount of detail. The engine spec for this locomotive was carefully developed and tested to provide a very realistic experience with the locomotive.

Included is: 1 SP SP-1 Class 4-10-2 3 Cylinder Steam Locomotive, #5000-5015, 1 160-C-2 Tender #5000-5015

Well, I'm blown away! Brian, I'm starting to believe you made some kind of deal with the devil! How can a normal man have so much skill!?

Cheers....Rick

Is this all??? Yawn. :hehe:

I can't say how grateful I am you are taking this engine to this degree, as a class and not just a one-off engine. SP class has always been one of my two or three favorite locomotives and to see you guys delving into it to this level (two of them) is a great and pleasant surprise. I'm going to grab one as a stable mate for the SP-2 I already have just as soon as all of this month's bills are paid. Can't wait to see them posed nose to nose in game.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Bernie
