New Haven Coastal

So this is weird. My personal route New Haven Coastal has as a dependent a session made by me and the session has as a dependent a route made by msgsapper.

I cloned a very old version of msgsapper's New England Coastal in TS12 49922 and have been working on it ever since for some 4 or 5 years. I did not discover the dependencies until I imported the cdp of the latest version of the route in TANE build 81296 into TANE build 81324.

Is it possible to delete both the session and the route dependencies and then open the route in surveyor and delete missing dependencies?

I am somewhat amazed that it is possible to have session and route dependencies in a route. :D

Hi Norm,

I just happened upon your thread! I too have had that with more than a few posts lately as well.

Anyway...

Before you do anything, back up the route and sessions to a CDP just in case things go bull-tits up!

But you can delete a session without it affecting a route; you just can't do that the other way around.

If you want to associate the session with your route, you can do that by editing the config.txt file.

Change the route-kuid to the route's kuid you want, and also change the same kuid in the Kuid-table.

Hope this helps.

Thanks John, it seems to have worked. What seems to have happened is that I have multiple installations of TS12 and TANE and, in the process of consolidating the various versions of the route, I managed to overwrite a older asset with a session that had the same kuid. D'oh. I am still trying to find out what asset that was. Deleting the session doesn't seem to have hurt the route but I am still searching for what happened.

@Saieditor That is a small part of pweiser's collection of New Haven Electrics.
