Hello Ian, my dear buddy -- :udrool:

wow, so long, and so many many years ago -- Hopefully you get back into trainz -- I recall our good old days via teamspeak with 1.3, etc ...

So hi to your better-half, Mrs. A!

Throw me an email, same one I always use for 15 years, or a PM!

Side note -- Ian is a superb programmer and coder, charged back then of the computer lab at U! ...

This deserves a Kickstarter.

This sound like a good idea. I have check the rules of Kickstarter there is one more thing that needs to be done and it can be a Kickstarter project. If this was a Kickstarter who would support it let's me know here.

I usually drive cab mode but will chip in a tenner cause you deserve it. ;) My suggestion is to keep the number of reward levels to a minimum (eg. $10 donation and $50 preorder) as the logistics of fulfilling them can quickly overtake an individual's abilities and enthusiasm. Since most Trainzers will fall into either category (I want to help this guy out vs. I want a USB DCC controller) it'll be just fine.

What's wrong with using KB commands, or Raildriver (which I think is nothing like an old time diesel control stand).

Now if you made this actually run Trainz ... That would be ultimate:

If it was ... I'd never come out ... I'd get ring around, welt

I have been toying with a wooden mock-up of this, and newer diesel control desks, and old steam locomotive cab controls

I can make that use trainz but the cost well let's say lots. I know that Auran did one that use trainz for real.
