...bake the textures?...

 ...ok, I know, this is a quality feature, but how would "baking" affect re-skinning?

I believe the bulkheads are backwards, and the oringial pic suggests the cross braces are I-beams, however this will fill in for missing content for sure!

Just do it!

Huh? The bulkheads arent backwards and what original pic are you talking about?

...that was easy...

 I was wrong, the end braces are not I-beam, they are 12"x4" C-channel, vertically and horizontally welded to the outside of the bulkhead sheet, as on WC 237191.

However, as far as along as you are, go with it!

Well he could either make an extra shadow map that people can apply over there reskin to get the baked texture affect, or he could make to versions, one with baked textures and one with out. rather simple

There is way too many versions of the bulkheads in use by the WC/CN. I went with one that I see here in Superior, WI most of the time, which is this version. http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=506614 Granted it isnt a 60footer, but I have a 50footer in the shop just about finished. And I have the correct bulkhead for the 60 footer based off of a walthers model that I own. I made the current one like that as a mix of all of them for use on other roads.

...now that's what I needed to see...

 Thanks Cosmo, that's the first bulkhead car I've ever seen with that type of bulkhead, and now I can see that your model is right on the money!

That's always been an issue with me, because Uncle Irv(Athearn) made a car that I know you know of, and Athearn still offers the car in L&N styling, of which the L&N never had any!

Keep-up the great work Cosmo!

You can get it at www.ustrainz.com whenever I figure out how to do the pulpwood load for it. Im stuck between having less realistic looks or real look. Of course the more real the more polys. So when I figure that out, I'll be announcing it in here.

Cheers,
Adam

Here's my proto version of the WC 60 footer.
