Hello everyone. I needed a break from working on the P&B route, so I decided to do a highly detailed 1 base board route. The route is called CC Tower and is based on an N scale track plan by Iain Rice, found in the Kalmbach book, Small, Smart & Practical Track Plans. I'm basing the route in the New England region in the 50's or 60's.
The main focus of this route is a double track diamond crossing with another rail road, with associated interchange and industry traffic. On one side of the base board is the yard and diamond crossing and on the other is a small staging yard for a continuous session. The route is for the operator who enjoys dispatching trains and running the occasional local.
I hope to have this route up in a few weeks. It's coming along quite quickly and nicely. Here are a few screen shots for you to enjoy.
