build a route and go around the learning curve

Hi conormets93

Can I suggest that you get one of the downloaded routes, save it as whatever you want to call it and then take it apart, click on things, move things and generally just explore. You can learn a lot that way. The other thing is to be able to come here and ask us as we all learned one way or the other how to get things done. Ask one thing at a time and we will respond to you in kind.

Make notes, keep sketches and create a folder for all the bits and pieces. Use a single board to run a test bit of track, a set of signals, a diamond crossover and so on. Save them for another day as there will always be "another day" and you can open it up and check it out again.

I sense frustration in your voice and all I can say is, keep going and it WILL become easier, I promise. We have all been there and you now have a whole forum ready to back you up if you get stuck. Be polite and be precise with you questions and we will respond. Don't try to do it all now, today. Learn to walk first and the running comes later.

Hope this helps a bit.

"When you press Prt Scn it automatically adds the screenshot into a folder called Screenshots in your Auran programs folders"

You will probably have to convert that file to a format more usable like jpg.

'Prt scrn' or 'Print Screen' is a button on your keyboard, just above 'Insert'. Press it when you want to take a screenshot and it will be saved in .tga format in the program files/Auran/TRS06/Screenshots folder. If you don't already have a good art program, then download irfanview from the web so you can convert them to .jpg. To display them on the forums, you will need to upload them to a photo hosting site like photobucket. There are fuller instructions on one of the sticky threads at the top of the screenshots area of this forum.

To add extra boards, open the topology tab (the top one on the right), and click advanced at the bottom. One of the buttons that has just appeared will allow you to add a board (and you're not the first to ask - it's well hidden:o )

Hope this helps

Screenshots

Hi Conor - If you go with what Superfudd posted then you will be okay. I hestate here but if you were not sure where the print screen button is then you should find it along at the right hand side of your function keys (f1-f12)
