Need some Object help

Can someone tell me if once an asset from the "Add Object" list in the "Object" tools can be made to conform to a gradient. My problem is roadways. With all the objects that cannot be bent or twisted or sloped, how do you get off ramps and intersections built in the downslope or upslope leading to or coming from an overpass. Somehow stair steps just does't cut it.
Any help, advice, comments, or suggestions will be entertained.

Open the config.txt file of one of your problem assets. Look at what is specified in the 'Kind' tag. If the object is of Kind scenery, then it's rotation in Surveyor is limited to the horizontal plane - unless there is a 'rotate-yz' tag also in the config. In that case it can be rolled or tilted in the vertical plane too. The exact axis of the tilt then depends on what orientation the mesh had in the 3D creation software used to make the object. If, for example, the on-ramp object rolls sideways but you really wanted it to tilt up or down along its length, then there is nothing you can do about it.

Well almost nothing. You can edit the config and add a 'rotate-yz' tag and some angle limits (I suggest -180, 180 as the entry values for that tag), commit the asset and see what it does. In Surveyor use Shift-Rotate to access the roll/tilt if it's active. Keep in mind this edit is only on your local system. If you publish a layout with that on-ramp, other users will not see the effects of the rotate-yz tag you added, since they will be using the original object.
