Need help with understanding Reset List

I could find no documentation as part of TS2010 detailing exactly how each of the many "rules" work in TS2010.

I did find a pdf file on the net that does document the TS2006 rules, many of which have the same names as the ones in TS2010. (I have made an assumption that they behave in the same way in TS2010 - although that could be where I am going wrong).

Other than the obvious question to Auran as to why they would ship a great program like TS2010 without documentation on how to use the rules that are essential to building any scenario, my questions are fairly simple.

1. Where do I place the "Reset List" rule relative to the list I want to reset.
As a child in the list to be reset?
As the parent of the list to be reset?
Do I have to name the Reset List rule with exactly the same name as the list I would like it to reset so it knows which list to reset?

Example: (- indicates child) would this cause List A to repeat over and over?

Ordered List A
-Child 1
-Child 2
-Reset List

2. If "Ordered List A" above is set to run one-time only, will a properly placed Reset List rule force it to run again?

3. If "Child 1" above is a "one-time" rule (for example, Resource Check), will a properly placed Reset List rule force it to run again as a child of List A?

This question relates to me being able to get the "Resource Check" rule to run more than once so I can repeatedly test the level of coal in a power station Q and automatically schedule a supply train to pick up coal and deliver it to the power station every time the coal level falls below a given threshold. I have been able to design a set of rules that will run the supply loop once, but not repeatedly.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Celje, thanks for the link. I had actually found this post in my search for a solution but had discounted its relevance as it is 3-4 years old and refers to TS2006.

But with your suggestion, I downloaded the assets referenced there for TS2006 and it looked like they installed correctly in TS2010 much to my surprise. I also had a hard time finding the "Resource Verify Rule" by Transiberiano as the link given in the post you mentioned is now invalid. I did finally find a copy from http://www.telefonica.net/web2/transiberiano/trainz/scripts/Resources2006.cdp

The net of it is, that using the TS2006 content, InputTable(kuid:131986:1012), Resource Verify Rule(kuid2:82445:90005:1), ChangeSVariables(kuid:131986:1005) and Auran's Driver Schedule Rule, I was able to get my loop working - WOOT!!

Many thanks again for your prompt and helpful reply.

I guess my conclusion is that the automatic supply of an industry is NOT possible with TS2010-only content, a fact that amazes me as it seems such an obvious function that people would want to set up in many industry scenarios. Oh well, maybe TS2011....

Now if some other kind rules expert can let me know the answers to my "Reset List" queries I will be a very grateful Trainzer.
