I had downloaded awhile ago a series of 4bay hoppers ( especially the v&o loaded and empty) for trs 2004. Trainz Objectz says that nothing is missing but nothing shows up when I run the program. Any help with this would be appreciatede!

When you download content into the Content Manager, you must first "commit" it to the memory of the TRS program before it will be recognized and available for use.

If you are using TRS2004....

I had a similar problem with rollingstock. I changed the bogeys and they work fine.

Can you list the kuid of the hopper you are having problems with?

Gambroe, ignore all the 'commit' and 'content manager' posts, that relates to TRS06 (and later) but is utterly irrelevant to your problem in TRS04. I do wish people would read a post before leaping to the keyboard!

Anyway, while TrainzObjectz is a thoroughly good program it does occassionally miss something. First thing I would do is manually check that I did in fact have all dependencies. If so I would then check the config for all dependencies and make sure that the trainzbuild tag in each is 2.4 or lower.

If you still have no luck, post back with specific kuid numbers and further investigation will be made...

Andy :)

Gentlemen,

the kuids for the open bay hoppers are: 56063:190635 and 56063 and 190366. There are many others made by the same person, but these are just two (the v&o ones).
thanks for all the replies!

I can't seem to locate these on the DLS. No matter. Can you locate one of these kuids (TRS2004/world/dispatcher/kuid 56063 190635) then open the config file and post it here? I still suspect a bad bogey is the problem.

Those hoppers have been updated a couple of times by majekear (the original author) and also by bnsf50.

Try these updated hoppers instead of the original:
2:56063:190405:1 and 190406:1

39134:1353; 1354; 1361; and 1362

Dermmy,

I found the hoppers that you mentioned, but I only have trs2004 and 1. wouldn't be able to run them on my program and 2. I am not able to download them because I don't have a serial no.:'(
Is there any way we can get these remade in trs2004?:o

thanks

Back to the problem at hand....

gambroe,

I too had trouble with hoppers and found that if I changed the bogey the hopper would appear and work correctly. Since you have TRS2004 a program called Trainz Tweaker can change the bogey for you.

The program and some other great utilities can be downloaded here:http://www.gaurc.us/index_files/software.htm

My suggestion is to find one of same sized hopper that works check the bogey in Tweaker and replace that bogey in the one that doesn't work.

Another great utility for TRS2004 is Trainz Objects that can trouble shoot problems with rollingstock and maps and such. It can be found on the same site.

Hope this helps. Great to see another Johnstowner playing Trainz.

gambroe, those V&O 4-bay open hoppers or coal hoppers where not made for TRS2004, but for an earlier version of Trainz. These were reskins of the original Auran's railcar. I later updated them for TRS2006 but with updated meshes. I'll try to update them for you to TRS2004. Send me an email to majekear@cox.net. Thanks.

gentlemen,
sorry, I was away for the weekend.
two things:
First, sethmcs, The pics on the C&BL look great! Would your route be for trs04 or 06? I was just wondering, is the route pre flood or post? and is there enough churches and bars on the dls for Cambria City?:hehe: Maybe we can extend this route to the curve!?!:p

Second, majekear, I tried to send you an email, but for some reason the computer won't let me (maybe I should just put my computer out of its or my misery!). I'll keep trying, but you can email me at gmambroe@msn.com if you find the time. I would greatly appreciate it.
I would definately love to have those hoppers. I had created a version of the V&O for the dls a while ago (Since then I started over from scratch to create a better version. You can always learn from your mistakes!)and think those hoppers would look great on the route!
Thank you both for all the replies and help!!!:)
have a good one!

My route is pre-flood 1975 although I cheated with more modern rollingstock.:hehe: Please check out the screen shot "Going home after a hard days work" is a shot of Cambria city on the Lower works side of the third street bridge. Look for the churches. The route is TRS2004 and I have started another route to connect Johnstown to the Gallitzin tunnels. Work on both routes has been slow due to work schedule and a planned computer upgrade that I haven't done yet. I am still working on both. I have made some before upgrade shots to compare to after upgrade shots. Maybe I post some more progress in a few weeks.

gambroe, as you know I did receive your email and as a result and with the valuable help of Eldavo on the config.txt file and gondola.gs script file, you now have several TRS2004 4-bay offset coal carrying hoppers with automatic assigned running numbers, and many other improvements to the original Auran's hopper. These hoppers will shortly be available at the Download Station (DLS). I'm sure they will be a welcome addition to the Virginian & Ohio route you're working on. Rollin.......................................
