Need help getting Cyberstorm's rivers to appear correctly in TS2010 Native mode.

I would like to get Cyberstorm's rivers appearing correctly in TS2010 Native mode. Because TS2010 Native mode handles alpha blending differently from Compatibility mode and old versions of Trainz (which is also the reason why billboard trees using alpha-blending look bad in Native mode), and because both Cyberstorm's river "tracks" and white-water rapid "trackside" objects use alpha blending, the white-water trackside objects are hidden by the river spline's alpha-blended water surface. The rivers appear correctly like in old Trainz versions in Compatibility mode, but I would like to get them appearing correctly in Native mode by making the rapids visible under the river spline's surface. If this is possible, does anyone know how to do this? I tried modifying the river splines to use an opacity map comprised of a single shade of gray to no avail. These rivers (which are animated) are sweet, and it would be very nice to be able to use them in Native mode.
