NEC

With the new content coming out of item that are used on the NEC, decided to have my route go south. I just stated this today, and I am about a mile north of Secaucus Junction. I found an old movie of a cab view from Philly to Penn Station which will help me make my signal locations and types as they are in real life. I will also continue to use the track maps and google earth for scenery/building locations and roads. Let me know what you think so far and if there is anything I should add.

Of course. Why do you ask?

I am trying to get as much information on my route as I can, and it would be cool if someone lived by the lines I am making and know about it. I have been using photos, google earth, and a really godd track map. The problem is: the photos only show a very small part of the route, the track map is about 3-4 years old and google earth is from 2003. So any one living by the NEC or Metro North, help would be great.

Thanks

I live in Harlem. The closest I can say to Metro-Morth is the 125th Street station. It's a four track station, two local and two express. The NEC comes down from Connecticut and turns east, lining up with the Triborough bridge suspension part. It's an arch bridge, commonly referred to as the Hell Gate Bridge. It then cuts it's way through queens, making a huge turn and lining up with Madison Square Garden/ Penn Station, and then continues toward New Jersey.

Thanks for the links, and I also live in NYC. I started this route from Penn Station and went up the Hudson, then made the tracks to Mott Haven. After that made my way up to Yonkers. When the AEM-7 came out, I started into NJ. The only problem there is there are so meny train lines. But the big plan is to go as north as Croton-Harmon on the Hudson line, south down to grand central and into NJ with Newark Penn Station and Hoboken Station. Put some scenery down and thats all.

thanks

Update

Next stop on my route is Hoboken Station. All the track and some scenery is done from Secaucus Junction to the Bergen Tunnel. i hope to finish Hoboken Station by the end of the weekend.

HX Interlock, before Bergen Tunnel to Hoboken.
