Navigate To - missing

Hi
Running TS09 SP4 build 44653.

Using Driver and an incomplete route of my own. CTRL & right click shows available rules except for Navigate To. It was present but no longer is. Have unsuccessfully searched for it on Download Station and Google.

QuickDrive v2 is installed and Navigate To shows there as an option and can be selected (ie green tick shows) but in Driver it does not then show up in the list of available rules.

I thought Navigate To was built into TS09 but its missing when driving in third party & built in routes too.

Any suggestions to fix this?

Thanks to all who reply.

The Navigate To command will only be available in the drive schedule if you have a named trackmark to drive to. Place a trackmark in your route then try the it.

Hi and thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately that is not the issue. Trackmarks do exist in the list of commands available and I can drive to or via a trackmark.

I wish to drive to a named passenger enabled station so a passenger train will unload/load. Unfortunately the Drive or Navigate To (station) command does not exist in the default list of commands. I can of course drive there manually.

I believe such a default command exists in TS09. (My TS09 installation on an older and slower PC has such a command). It is this that I am missing.

Grateful for all suggestions.

You are thinking of "Navigate To Trackmark" Bob, "Navigate To" is a different command which targets scripted industries, portals and the like. Pretty sure it is a default driver command which should show up even if there is no 'target' on the route.

Barwell have you edited the list of Driver Commands in Surveyor? Is the command available in Surveyor in the 'Edit Driver Commands' (or whatever) menu? Try putting some other industry on the route and see if 'Navigate To' is available for the new industry, if it is then there is an issue with the station asset you have used...

Check to see if there is a script error (red button in the lower right of the screen) in one of your assets. Some script errors make the Drive To/Navigate To commands unavailable, at least in 2010.

Barwellbull: You might want to try a Extended Data Base Repair..Also you might check your driver Commands and see if green tick by Navigate to is there..

There is a script error

ExtendedStation:ThreadException ER-NullArrayReference,line 262 file extendedstation.gs(1)
Plus an identical error too but it references line463
These are beyond my skill level.

I have edited Driver Commands list in Surveyor
1 "Drive To" is ticked as is "Navigate to Station v2" which also appears and is ticked but does neither show up in Driiver
2 " Navigate To" does not show

Only "Drive to TMark and via TMark" show in Driver

Thanks for your reply

Above applies irrespective of station asset - have several different ones

Above replies cover your Navigate To suggestion.

Will try extended DB repair overnight

Many thanks

Will try extended DB repair overnightl

Don't bother. It won't fix the problem. Script errors are beyond me, so the only solution I've found is to remove the station from the route and replace it with another. Once you get rid of it, Navigate To/Drive To are available again. Just out of curiosity, which station is it? The one that's been giving me the error is MS Passengers 90m (kuid2:1942:28134:5).

As suggested ran an extended DB repair o/nite. Result is a bit daunting:
errors = 3198 warnings = 52. Probably results from importing content from earlier versions (04 and 06, possibly even some from UTC). Any suggestions as to how I proceed?

Also looking to isolate a station giving me script errors.

Thanks

Barwellbull: Do not pay much attention to read out on EDR, because it is what was fixed..Try Open GL vs DX..Also have you downloaded DX-9?? It is important for you to do so, Microsoft .com..

Success - thanks for your help

Clicking on "More" button in script error window confirmed faulty station was "MS Passengers 90m" and removing it has restored "Navigate To" command
