The product is software and in software changing a name, which is string of characters, is most trivial task one can imagine. But if as Auran says it cannot be done, it means their legacy system has such serious problems, I have doubts they will ever will be able to deliver a robust software.
What they are trying to do is to hide old problems under a new package. This helps their product as much as lipstick helps a pig. A classic example is extensive database repair - if database is programmed correctly, there is no need for user to perform time consuming repair, every time they install a new asset. There are thousands of other problems. For this reason I stopped at Trainz Classics and I am not going to spend a single cent, unless Auran produces reliable software. But to do it they need funds and here is the catch 22. I believe this company will be out of business in less than 10 years.
