My WIP stuffz thread (LARGE PICZ)

Yeah, so, now that I'm (slightly) out of my CIM addiction (it was so bad I wasn't even playing Trainz LOL!), I figured I would start a thread for my WIP content and stuff.

PO&N is Port Ogden & Northern by the way.

PO&N Caboose (my reskin):
This was my first real reskin (it was from a red caboose). I think it turned out pretty well.

Tomorrow morning I should have some pics of my WIP route, the Port Ogden and Northern Frostbite Falls Division. I am also starting an urban route with streetcars/trams, light rail, elevated trains, subways, animated buses, and possibly monorails. (Should I add monorails?)
 
I haven't made much progress on the metro route, because I don't have any sort of plan for what to do or where the lines should go. If anyone would like to draw up a plan or give me ideas, that would be most welcome!
 
Unreskinnables?

I tried reskinning the ACL pullman by Whitepass, and I modified the necessary file (I think), skin.tga. However, when I opened it in railyard to see if I had done anything, It just showed the original asset. Is this asset like unreskinnable or did I do something wrong?

Oh and another question.
On Slabay's SW1500s, there seem to be three different texture files that are all the same (blah blah 1 low, blah blah 1 med, blah blah 1) and they all look the same. Do I need to reskin all of these? If not, what is the purpose of the others? If so, why are there three anyway? And can I just use the same file for all there or do they actually have to be reskinned separately?

I finished drawing up a map for the metro route route and have started work on it, however I haven't finished enough to warrant a screenshot. I'm focusing on the PO&N Frostbite Falls Division.

A couple more screenshots showing the coal mine area. I know it's not that realistic (it's not a mine railroad, it's a branch off the main line), but it's fun.
If you really want realism you could just pretend that the tunnel leading to it is like a portal or something.

That looks like a unused subway line in Wheelman but without the smashed, flaming, tagged, and compacted subway cars. In other words, it's a great representation of a old subway line. I say this goes good with a white & orange J.N.R. D.M.U. trainset. I guess they were based off of them. And yes. Adding monorails would be a great idea for a urban city.

Very nice! The reskins by Slabay were created from Mchawkman's (MSP) SW1500s. Yes, reskinning only one will show the original texture. Open the texture labeled SW1500 1 (or whatever that one is named) and paint it how you wish. Then save the .tga file and overwrite the original. Then open the other two .tga files. One will be sized at 512 and the other at 256. Resize the first .tga file (should be 1024x1024 pixels) to 512x512 pixels, select all, copy, and then paste over the other texture. Save the texture you just pasted over, and then resize again the other image to 256x256 pixels. then select all, copy, & paste over the last texture. Do not save the one sized 1024x1024 when you go to resize it for the other two texture images, it needs to stay at that size. then commit, evaluate, and fix/tweak till you're happy with it. Hope that helps.

Hm... the subway cars need to look like the JNR kiha48 retro because the subway cars were made off of it.
 
I have since deleted this route (I thought it looked bad), and I'm planning on restarting, but I made the junction that way because the track in the foreground on the left is a yard lead, and I didn't have space for it because of the station, so I made the crossing like that.
