My compliments and puzzlement

It appears that the new Auran servers have been a great success. At least they have where I'm concerned.
I've been upgrading my content to build 2.9 and in the last 2 days, I've uploaded 300+ items to the DLS very and over 250 of them are already on the DLS. I've uploaded quite a bit today and most of them are already on the DLS. My compliments for the progress on the uploading side.

I do have an issue with the downloading side however. I've tried to download a few items to my TS2009; however, CM2 says that the location is unknown although they are visible on the DLS and have been on the DLS for several years. This is a little puzzling. I'm also not sure why CM2 can't show me the build number of items on the DLS. It's a mystery.

TS2009 doesn't know the build number until you've downloaded it. TS2010, however, shows the build number for all kuids.

Well, that's very strange. How do I search for assets that are a minimum build of 2.9 on the DLS from CM2

Well I just had a look at the assets you uploaded. Very nice stuff cant wait to use it on my layouts. As for the Unkown thing its must have something with the move its not complete yet.

Don't know about TS2009 but for TS2010:
Location Download Station
Minimum Build Version 2.9

These two are optional:
Obsolete False
Out of Date False

Most of the content is even organized so that you could do category searches.

I agree with Hert - I think it's something to do with the DLS move. And, nice content; I can't wait to download the new versions!

It,s great to see someone is ensuring that his assets are up to date, but I,m a bit puzzled by some of the uploads I have tried.

As far as i can see they worked great in 2010 anyway, so now we appear to have duplicate assets.

You're right, they are duplicate; however, I had to tweek the configs in most cases for 09/10 and I changed the kuids so that the older content would not be obsoleted. I simply did this to ensure that my content was on the DLS for 09/10 users in case the 04 content and older disappears eventually. I know that most of my 04 content works fine in 09/10, but if any of it is used in a route that's downloaded after the disappearance of 04 content from the DLS, then the downloader is out of luck. I encourage anyone that's developing a route in 09/10 to use the upgraded content and not the older stuff.

I haven't decided yet on any new content in the future yet.

Yes it would seem that during the weekend that the DLS comes to a crawl. Yes it must be a combination of lots of people downloading and the DLS still being moved over. Hopefully this will all be resolved in time.
