Multi Industry to load an entire consist ?

The "Multi Industry New" in TANE SP2 does not seem to have the ability to load the entire consist at once ?

I see references on the web to a Jointed Rail Multi Industry that allows this, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Are they the same thing, an asset incorporated into stock TANE from the JR asset ? If so what am I missing in order to enable this feature ?

I love the JR Locos and Rolling Stock, and have all their necessary dependencies, but I can find any link, or reference to a multi industry asset at the JR web site.

Am I missing something obvious ? Not being able to load an entire consist from the Multi Industry track really makes setting up realistic industries difficult.

Thanks for your time,

Not aware of any M.I.N assets that do the load all at once feature. I think the ProtoLars assets that can do this.

ANY MODS:

I would recommend moving this thread to the JointedRail Threads for their input as M.I.N. is theirs.

You will find it in JR routes. <kuid2:45324:40000:2> and it works the same as PL industries.
It is listed as payware.
Cheers,
Mike

I've looked everywhere at the Jointed Rail website and I still can't find it. The search bar at their web site can't find it either.

I would happily pay for it, if I could just find the thing.

There's another alternative for loading a consist with suitable receiving wagons requiring a uniform commodity load all at once - that's to use the Driver Command 'InstantLoad with a product from the queue specified by the user' by elstoko - <kuid:368725:60011>
I use this at loading sidings and industries and for portal emissions that would otherwise be candidates for Multiple Industry New. It is very handy for liquid loads where the actual loading process doesn't really need to be visible to the user.

I sent the fine folks at Jointed Rail an email and they kindly sent me the cdp file for the Multi Industry object. Such excellent customer service, in addition to the best looking payware for Trainz !

Unfortunately the asset must be incompatible with TANE SP2 because it doesn't show up in surveyor, so I'm back to square one.

PC_Ace your method works great, except that it doesn't take the commodity from the Multi Industry stocks. I am trying to build a working economy in which commodities are finite in amount and must be moved around the route from producers to consumers to keep industries running.

The Multi Industry tracks actually work great for this, it's just annoying to have to set up every one of them on a long enough siding, or loop, so that I can get all the cars loaded in long trains.

I guess I'll just have to keep setting it up that way, using the stock roll through loading method for all my commodities.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I have the same problem with stations the trains slow to about 10MPH and accelerate straight through , this has only happened recently since upgrade to 90945 I have had more errors that ever before , is there anymore upgrades past 90945 and if so where do I find it

Only the beta 92487 at the time of posting. Something should be released sometime this week.

Hi

It is possible to create an industry using the Input Table rule and variables. You need one variable for the main stockpile, a second for the rate of consumption or production and a third one which will contain the value of a complete train load which will be added or subtracted from the main stockpile. If you use the driver command by El Stoko mentioned above you will have the basics of any industry.

I usually place a small loco or a drive-able road vehicle at or near the industry to contain the commands that monitor and manipulate the queue using conditional driver commands by author "trev999" which are on the DLS. These commands can also be used by the train delivering or collecting from the industry to monitor the main queue and create a just in time delivery/collection system.

Brian

I just installed JR Multi industry in Tane SP2 90945 and works perfectly.
It was the only M.I.N that worked in Tane SP1 as well.
Cheers,
Mike

A little confusion on my part. There is a working M.I.N. in my SP2 install, but it lacks the load entire consist option. I installed the JR M.I.N. but the only one I can find in surveyor is the stock one. There must be some conflicting issue, or missing depency, (I pretty ruthlessly disable a lot of the inferior, or "unnecessary" builtin content.)

It's moot now though, I'm getting ProtoLARS working and it feels better for my needs. Some testing to do tonight to make sure it's working, and then I'm off and running. Planning to build a completely interlinked, working economy on the amazing UMR 2018 route.

Thanks again for the replies everyone. You've all been helpful.

It shows as JR Multi Industry and works for me in T:ANE SP2 . It was part of Coal Country when I purchased that. It's amazing that JR sent it to you. Great service!

Agreed. I have a lot of respect for Jointed Rail. Their assets are gorgeous, and service has been excellent.

In fact, in my current UMR 2018 mega session building attempt I am running exclusively JR rolling stock and locos.

Good news as a final post in this thread. Turns out I was missing an obscure dependency from Jointed Rail. I installed it and the JR Multi Industry asset shows up and is working fine.

Since I'd already setup ProtoLARS I now have the option of using either as I need them for my sessions economy setup. :)

Has anyone ever figured out which commodity causes the JR Multi Industry to prevent you from using more than 1 commodity?

I have tried to set it up with multiple commodities, but it will only take 1. Somebody had mentioned there was a commodity that causes this, but can't remember which one. It's frustrating because JR Multi Industry is such a great asset.

Thanks
Bruce

Brucem56, thanks for the heads up. Building an economy in a session can get a bit tedious, and that's without the frustration of undocumented bugs. It's good to be aware of potential bugs. I'll keep my eyes open for that commodity.
