multi industry on the wood jetty?

so, please, for my slo-mo modeling of joe-ville i'd like to have a wharf with load/off load ability -- wooden, about 1903? and the one industry track which can be height raised to the pier level won't industry in Classic. i've built up the sea floor to the bottom of the pier, but it's pretty odd looking. is there a better solution to this problem of what to place the industry track on? -- one thing i remember from the old days is that someone had a method for making right-angle terra-forms... that would at least put a track's width well inside the middle of the pier.

probably i've read of this problem and its solution in the old lost threads, but i'm defined by senior moments these days as it is.

thanks,
mike

You could have your sea floor at normal height (ie. below the water) and use one of the height-adjustable MIN's made by Baekember (?spelling?) to put the industry at the level of the wharf.

wow, this is very exciting!! i found bekaember and downloaded all the packs. this looks like it will be really useful in any case -- industry on curves! very nice.

thanks very much.

Hi Mike, Have a look at this wharf. It was made for me based on a Wharf near where I live. The actual Wharf is one of the few of its type left in Australia if not the world. It certainly is pre 1903 but I am not sure exactly how old. The creator tried at the time to make it Industry Active and I think with Narrowgauge tracks, not really sure, however it did not work. I can not remember why.

With what is available now you may be able to use it and make it Industry Active.

Hope this helps.

Hello Mike,

Search my user ID on the DLS: kuid: 102376:
You will find what you-re looking for. Height adjustable multi industries are available in english and also in hungarian edition, and also in different shapes.

thanks massively for posting these!!! i found them last night and was up till four restructuring my routes! they worked perfectly, and i'm really pretty relieved -- very imaginative of you to create these, and nicely done.

thanks again.

yes, i remember using this a couple of years ago! it's very handsome. the current route i'm building is organic, and right now the area is only able to support a single wood wharf -- the "simple jetty" spline -- for loading a few carloads of lead ore and some finished lumber. this is probably on the northwest coast of the u.s., and a couple of steamship lines run scheduled stops. the town doesn't even have a hotel yet, for instance, and there's still first growth conifers up to the town edge.

there's not even a bank, yet, but the owner of the mill has a cousin in Baltimore who's connected with eastern capital, and the mill owner sure does have dreams of sending out many more cars of finished lumber from much larger land holdings, and a huge dock to ship from. there's plenty of trees here, and probably in a few years he'll make it happen.

thanks for the suggestion!

Hello ererybody! :)

@Mike:
I'm happy, and - thank you. ;)

@Dean:
I did't forget about you... But I have no time to update the objects... I have to work a lot, sometimes I have to work at night too...:'( Probably the objects will be updated when I will be on summer holiday...

Don't stress Krisz. At the moment, Auran are not processing new uploads to the DLS. Even if you sent your updated assets today, we may not see them on the DLS for weeks.

it's too bad, cause at twenty dollars for a first class now, they could manage a pretty good sustained income.

oh, yeah -- if i were really wealthy, i'd buy the app from auran and call the original developers together and hire help for them and make trainz this amazing most everything it could be game, and i'd give all the private developers a hundred grand just because, and hope they'd do more stuff for us, and i'd get the programmers to app out an app which would make everything ever created for trainz loadable and updated and what's what and could be.

Hello Guys!

Yes, exactly... DLS is a big problem for me too... And I don't know what to do, because I am thinking about creating a webpage for my projects, but I know that I wouldn't have time to update it... So the final result - I think - will be the DLS - and of course it is more comfortable for everybody, because if you make a layout for publishing, users will find the (missing) objects there.
