MSTS content?

I'm working on building my own route and I want some motive power for it. There is next to nothing on the download station (1 loco and it's not a GP unit, it's an SD) for both of the railroads on the route. I found some stuff by scrolling down the "all" list on content manager but only two things (a hopper and a caboose, none of the motive power) worked with TS12. There is plenty of stuff available for MSTS on the railroads I want. Is there a way to get it on to TS12? I tried putting some of them on MSTS a while back with no luck.

Have a look at Jointed Rail.

It can be done, but with considerable difficulty. The first difficulty is getting the original author to ok it.

You should look at that content again. It may not work directly with TS12 out of the box, but the DLS content is being upgraded to work with it. You may want to learn how to fix content yourself in the interim - most of it is very easy.

It would help to name the railroads, they may be there but the search is not finding them.

Lookin for primarily Frisco units, but there is also some Missouri Pacific on the map. Looking at jointed rail they have a Frisco SD45 and a Mop SD40-2 but no GP's.

Your best bet is to learn how to reskin models that work;

Because altho if you have the source files (usually TSM for MSTS which is not included in the download) it's possible to convert MSTS models to other sims, but the end result is usually not worth the effort involved.

I've looked all over the place. Done some google searches, went to many sites. And yes I did find the SD45 on Jointed rail and the 3 units on RRMODS, and the fake SW unit. I know not everything is on DLS.

I want to apologize to mtldrm38 and bobhahn for blowing up earlier today. I was just so frustrated with what I could find not working. I am finally making some progress on it though with some help from another thread.
