how do i fix these?

Error: Attachment point 'att' in 'node03' must be found in mesh 'switch.im'.
Error: The attachment point 'a.node03' must belong to the parent mesh of the effect (mesh=switch.im).

Hi Scot,

If the attachment point can't be found, remove the att reference - just delete the line.

Save and recheck. If it doesn't fix it, remove the whole reference to it.

The alternative is to recreate the attachment using PEVs Attachment Maker. I'm sorry to say I can't help you here. I've never done that before.

hi john,

what im trying to fix is the right hand maglev switch. do you think that copying the left hand switch & changing that as appropriate would work?
failing that do you know of anywhere i can download one from?

thanks

I did the same awhile ago. It was a lot easier than pulling my hairs (note plural) out on the switch lever.

I'm glad you solved the problem. You'll become an expert yet. :)

If you have a pair of assets that are similar, and one of them has this type of error, that is a pretty good clue that one is a copy that hasn't been completely updated for other changes that were made, such as removing the attachment point from the mesh. A texture.txt file without an image file is another error that sometimes has a similar solution for the same reason.
