John

I tried both these suggestions of deleting physics and coupler break, and still is no good.

There is 4 session in the Mojave Sub, the 1st one (ATSF #991 EAST) which is medium difficulty, duration 2.45 hrs. Only available control in the Cab mode, all realistic. I've finished this route, and believe or not only one thing to do, put the Independent Brake ON. (E button) All the way. This brake can reduce the terrifying power forces which occur while you trying to pull that long freight train all the way up on the hill until 3000+ feet. You have to control the power throttle, up/down, and if its still necessary, apply the train brakes. NO COUPLER BREAKING will occur. But the 2nd session, from Mojave to Bakersfield, you can't make this route in the Cab mode.. the critical distance where the couplers breaking will occur is between 3.5 and 4.5 miles. I've tried everything possible cab control functions variables, and doesn't help. Only available mode is in the DCC mode, where you can make it. So maybe a patch really not a bad idea. Cheers.

I have gone sometimes 10 miles or so, going along at a steady pace, and the coupler breaks. It is definitely a bug in the software. There is another scenerio in Mojave, can't remember which one, where I click he throttle to 1 to start off , and the coupler breaks. So basically it's unusable.
