I am curious as to where I can find some good quality modern Australian freight cars? Your help is appreciated.

BHP Ore Hoppers & Gondolas Weathered

I Like to see weathered BHP Ore Hoppers & Gondolas (Industry Inactive of Course):rolleyes:

The only freight car I have isn't exactly modern. It's the NOHF Concentrate wagon used on the NSW railway, and the only state to have them as far as I know.

Hello truemac, you can also do a search on the DLS, in the category "rolling stock" type in the letters of the main states in Australia that have a lot of wagons created for them :-

QR = Queensland Railways
VR = Victoria Railways
SAR = South Australian
NSWGR = New South Wales

There's loads of different wagons to choose from, flat wagons, hoppers, box vans, tankers, etc, etc. All superbly made by our friendly Ozzy members....

Also look under the words Freight Australia, for both wagons and diesel locomotives.

Happy hunting.

I've only got 2 'modern' items at the moment. And one of them is really a 1920s wagon with new bogies (As they did with them anyway).

VicTrainz should have some grain wagons, and hopper wagons, finished fairly soon though :)
