Recently, I've seen screenshots of Model Trainz routes with the edges of the "table" curved. How does one achieve this without pieces of the baseboard showing through the curves?
I think that what you are seeing is a table asset that is above the baseboard. The shots that I have seen show a tiled "floor" (probably a painted texture on the baseboard) below the table that contains the layout. But I could be wrong.

Pware, Generally the 'table' is the normal grid basemep with the floors & ceilings being spline items. Dig-holes are used to remove any unwanted surface areas.
