just forget this thread ever existed, if the way of getting pictures onto these threads wasnt so complicated, you may have seen the route, it may not be complicated to you, but its just not practical if you ask me. maybe if i had a site it could be easier

God!
If anyone wants to see it, ill put it on the dls and you can download it. then you have the whole thing to yourself. Its for TC3, but you could probably get the S&C Stations from somewhere.

Trainz (prior to 09) saves screenshots in .tga format. tga is a nice crisp use-able image format, but is a relatively large file. Because of the file size most free hosting services do not allow uploads of tga-s. You can use just about any image editing software to convert tga-s to jpg format. jpg's are nowhere near as user-friendly image-wise but have the merit of being a comparatively small file. Free hosting services love them! Don't be put off by the fact the you need to use image editing software. You don't need to edit anything. Just open the tga and click on 'Save as' and choose jpg (or jpeg) from the drop-down list. It really is easy :)

Hi,

Tinypic is really comprehensive and easy to use. Just open the screenshot in Paint (which most computers have), and save it. This converts it to a JPEG format. Go into the folder where you saved the new JPEG screenshot, open the new screenshot, crop it, and upload it with Tinypic.

Easy

Cheers!

3 Times The Charm!

OK, Thanks:D , I'll convert them to jpeg and upload them...I have uploaded the route onto the DLS:cool: and it should be on in...well i dont know, how long does it usually take?

P.S- Mitchey?! Cool someone I can relate to:p , someone called Mitch!

FINALLY!

FINALLY!
I've got them!
Ok, first things first, lets start at Mitchvale Grand Station.
http://img67.imageshack.us/i/screen004n.jpg/
This is the Iron Duke taking on passengers at Mitchvale Grand, ready to continue its journey to Eaglehattan.

http://img2.imageshack.us/i/screen005a.jpg/
Mitchvale Yard, the yard is constantly trading goods and freight with neighbouring towns.

http://img444.imageshack.us/i/screen007.jpg/
Iron Duke leaves Mitchvale, heading east, onto a mainline speed zone, the Mk1 coaches will do much more than clunk and groan at that speed!

http://img100.imageshack.us/i/screen006g.jpg/
A little ahead of the train is Austin Tunnel.

http://img100.imageshack.us/i/screen010.jpg/
This is most likely what you will be seeing for this part of the trip. Forests and rocky rises in the ground.

http://img67.imageshack.us/i/screen011r.jpg/
The most beautiful part of the route, Austin Falls. Iron Duke trundles across the viaduct and the passengers gasp in awe at the rocky waterfall and the gorge below.

http://img440.imageshack.us/i/screen013.jpg/
Eaglehattan, a town in the forest that is a major part of the line. Complete with Engine Sheds and a crossover a bit further back.

http://img444.imageshack.us/i/screen017.jpg/
Back at Mitchvale now, Evening Star and Black Prince rest in the roundhouse, preparing for their next, fast express run.

http://img185.imageshack.us/i/screen018.jpg/
A branch commuter train lets its passengers off and other get on at the first Camton Branch station, Torchester.

http://img100.imageshack.us/i/screen021.jpg/
This is my older brother's branch so, he asked me put in this wood outside Torchester, and name it Torch Wood. The name of his favorite TV show...

http://img100.imageshack.us/i/screen023.jpg/
Littlebury, the next branch station, it is a 'little' town.

http://img100.imageshack.us/i/screen026y.jpg/
Cameron's Cliff, its big...

http://img444.imageshack.us/i/screen028j.jpg/
Now we're getting very close to the sea, a small part of the beach is shown here.

http://img440.imageshack.us/i/screen029z.jpg/
Camton! The end of the branch. The Camton shunter unloads some 8-plankers onto the dock so the coal barges can take it elsewhere.

http://img444.imageshack.us/i/screen041.jpg/
ZOOOOOOOM! Now we have been teleported (somehow ) to the other end of the mainline, the Barlinville end. The station here is identical to Mitchvale, but the town is completely different. The turntables are here so the driver shunts his train into a siding, uncouples the loco, spins around on one of these and couple to the other end of his train. Neat

http://img444.imageshack.us/i/screen042.jpg/
This is the Barlinville Sandstone Cliff. On top of this sheer drop are the two turntable we looked at a second ago.

Well, thats about it, I hope you liked em! Oh. And i just got an e-mail from Auran saying my content upload has failed! It says, quote; - No Image associate with the content, end quote. What does this mean and how do I fix it?

Probably missing a thumbnail, search for that word here, you'll find topics describing how to do it though if you use TRS2004 the process is different than TRS2006 and later.

About pics, in Image shack there is a way to display an information box that lists code you can copy and paste for an image to show the image through forums, email, etc., each is different. Depending on whether your Imageshack account is set for Modern or Classic viewing changes how to find the code. To put pictures here, you just get the code for forums, select/highlight the code, Ctrl-C to copy the code then Ctrl-V in the message box here to paste it in, works fine. If your pictures are above 800x600 in size, there is a seperate code to dsiplay small thumbnails that people can click on to see the larger image, Imageshack thumbnails are good because they don't take a long time to load and will display the actual image size so a user who cannot handle large images (like dial-ups) can just avoid clicking while still seeing the thumbnail. If you didplay large pictures, then it is considered respectable when starting a screenshot topic to put something in the title warning of large pictures like (Note: 1024x768 images).

Thanks,
It's uploading now with an awesome thumb, a cropped version of the Iron Duke crossing in front of Austin Falls:mop: . Should make people want the route:cool:
Thats about it really, enjoy the shots.

(ok Mitch, dont loose your cool, breathe in deep, and out) :'( :'( :'(
The upload failed again, this time because, No Valid Assets Found., Sounds...interesting....what did I do now?

report the issues (there is a thread around here somewhere where you can report problems in the upload process. And try again. I've gotten this numerous times. Its something on Auran's end. Alternatively you can upload the route to a private website.

Just an update on the route.
1. I've replaced the cliff at the Barlinville end with a beach. It looked sort awkward when the water from around the island met with the water below that cliff. I had to put a waterfall in and it just ruined the water layout of the area.
2. The Camton Branch is now on a peninsula. You drive from Camton around a bend on a sandbar and continue on the other side of Cameron's Cliff towards Mitchvale.
3. I dont know whats going to happen when the ocean around the island meets with Austin falls... I may have to extend the gorge right through to the edge of the map, I may have to only make the coastal part of an island.
4. Barlinville now has a dock! With coal unloader and goods shed, and a multiple industry setup as a granite unloader.
5. A granite mine has been added in the mountain which have been put behind Austin Falls (so the water can come from somewhere).
