missing track

Several routes i downloaded show dotted lines not trackfor example :fec rr route. I guess I could replace the track but that is a lot of work. I see there is a replace setting for textures. Is there a way to replace assets similar to search and replace in word processors?

Not for track. You can do it for things like buildings, but it isn't designed to work for tracks.

You'll have to find the asset - I might suggest looking at uslw.net, I had to go there once for track...

This sounds like the track is missing a dependency. Go to Content Manager (CMP) and go to missing dependencies. If there is anything missing, there will be a yellow gear with a "?" inside.

You can then list the dependencies to see what's missing and possibly download the missing one from the DLS if it has the DLS icon next to it.

Only if it's on the DLS. Right click on the route and click "View Dependencies". Missing dependencies that are on the DLS will appear as stated above, but unknown dependencies (ones NOT on the DLS) will be listed as unknown <KUID:12345:67890>.

If I encounter that I look for the KUID on google, there you might find the place to download it, OR threads about others looking for them which may lead you to a place to download them.

I was going to mention that but I forgot to add it in. I got a phone call just as I posted.

Google and Bing are my best friends when looking for missing stuff.

Remember, BCK. DO NOT USE THE DELETE MISSING ASSETS option in Surveyor. If you do that, you'll lose all your track and will have to relay the track from scratch, place signals, tracks signs, speed limit signs, and anything else associated with the track.
