Missing Dependencies.

comeng552m

Hi. I'm a Comeng.
Hello everyone. I'm new to Trainz and am using Trainz 2010. I download the Vicline route, but I can't run it. I looked in the content manager, and it said that the route has missing dependencies, however when I right click on the route and click view dependencies, it says that their are no dependencies missing. Am I actually missing dependencies or not? If I am, how do I know which ones i'm missing and where to find them?

Sounds like Content Manager is playing up - I would advise doing an extended database repair (it's in the File menu) which should fix the problem.

I've tried doing the database repair, but it has done nothing. It still says missing dependencies, and the view dependencies section says that their are no dependencies missing. If it helps the route i'm trying to get working is a Trainz 2004 route.

I dont have TS2010 my self, but from what i have read in other threads older content although it is OK in older versions, it does seem to flag errors in 2010.

Hello,

I just did a search for "vicline" on the DLS and did not find a route by that name but did find something listed as MISC - KUID 64056:102012. Is this the item that you are refering to. If so, you will have to check the config.txt as it obviously has typos since it does not display as a route and 2010 is probably getting confused.

My CM3.2 shows:
Victoria Line,<kuid:419716:1005>
Vic Route,<kuid:215837:1071>
and they're both TRS2006 routes.

I've found that as well - what may seem to be a missing dependency may actually be a faulty asset (or a faulty depenency) - what colour is the icon?

When right-clicking it, does the option 'View Errors and Warnings' become available? If it does, click it, and Content Manager will give a list of errors and warnings relating to that particular item.

Found another solution (if the asset is not faulty/missing dependencies) - this works most of the time.

1. Select the asset causing problems.
2. Open it for edit.
3. Commit the asset (without making any changes)

Shane

I clicked on view errors, but it said that their is none (the icon is yellow). I tried opening the asset for edit and committing it, but it did nothing. The view dependencies section still says that their are none missing, but if right click and go into the view asset version section, it says that 1 dependencies are missing.
