Missing Dependencies Thread

Posting a list if locos with 'missing' assets is no help. Post the kuids of the missing dependencies...

Go into content manager, in the search bit select missing dependancies. The locos, stock will then show. R/click on an item and select missing dependancies, hopefully the kuid numbers will show. Also tell us what locos they're off.

Ok, now I have the kuids....

I have more, but this is a beginner......:'( :'( :'(

Hello,

both the ATSF 2929 and the FEF are not yet 2010 compliant, as they require a completely new enginespec. They will be upgraded as soon as we will be able to make a new steam enginespec for them. Given the very little information available about the mechanics of these enginespecs, this will not be an easy task, so do not expect them to be ready in a short time...:( .

Cheers

I've spot checked a few of the kuids in your list and the first group for the CN slud are builtin to TS2009. The second group are on the DLS. Why don't you search the DLS for them and download. When you get a list that you know you can't find then post those.

Bob

Sometimes if an updated version of an asset is available CM won't pick it up. As Bob said, do a search for them manually and you'll find them.

Also, when doing a search you may have to alter the kuid. For example <kuid2:122285:1193:1>, you only need to type in 122285:1193. Pretty much everything I checked using the FTP is on the DLS for the route.

Also google is pretty good at getting you in the right direction when searching for kuids.

Hope this helps.

Dave.....

Guys, I have trs 2006, ok? Second, other than missing kuids and dependencies, Explain how the Trs 2006 service pack one works in surveyor? I can't even drive my own custom trains!!!!!

SP 1 is to be installed before you run trainz, as in straight after install. If not it wont work properly.
In surveyor you don't drive anything, you set your consists, locos, signals, industries etc. Save the lot as (route 1) for eg. Go into driver, select route 1, then you can drive whatever locos you have there.

There is a quick drive option in 2006 surveyor near top left of screen, you still need to save the route first via this option.
Re drivers, in the edit session you can set which drivers you want available and to which locos.

Yes, but last night, I had a great setup, and i wanted to test it out on Quick Drive. Problem is, I had to search for the trains and I had to drive it MYSELF! No drivers no nothin'!!!

It (surveyor) should put a driver on each loco. As I said in previous post use edit session to allocate drivers to which locos you want.

Ok. I edit the stuff drivers in the edit session rules and what ever. Except that when I add the rule driver setup, I can't edit drivers! i also can't preset the driver commands i want them to do anymore.

Ps. Wasn't expecting this bad crap to happen............

Ok heres the sequence of events:

1.Installed Trainz
2.Downloaded Locos
3.installed sp1
4.Experiencing Crap
5.Now and present day.

Help me plzzzzz.

In edit session, then click on driver set up. Depending if you want to remove or add drivers click edit or add. Once you have your drivers in what loco you want you should then be able to give them commands. Check the driver commands available while your in edit session (select edit to see whats available), tick what you want to use.
Can you do this or is it not there?.

Just read your other post. Should have been 1 then 3 without opening trainz. Then 2 and not 4 at all.

Your going to have to uninstall 2006 and re-install, otherwise your flogging a dead horse.
1. Open the drive where trainz is, find the trainz folder, open that and locate a file called LOCAL. Copy and paste to desktop or just drag it. This has saved your downloaded stuff.
2. Uninstall trainz.
3. Make sure you have a shortcut on desktop for the SP 1 install.
4. Start to install using your discs.
5. Finish install. Do not open trainz. Exit to desktop.
6. Open SP 1 shortcut and let that install.
7. When thats finished open the local file and that should (or you could just drag it into cmp) put your downloaded content back into cmp ready for use. Make sure nothing is open for edit.
If your ok with all that reply quick cause I'm off to my pit very shortly.

Thanks, but when I tried to open my saved sessions from the last install, the blasted thing froze and I had to terminate it! I'll try to do it right now....

Ok. when I add the drivers setup rule, I try to edit it, But when I do, (it says no description) Theres no way to change it, and all drivers are 'Undifined" !!!!!
