Missing Depencies on Magicland's Amtrak locos and Tolari's Acela.

Hi again.

I just finished downloading Magicland's Amtrak P40 locos and Tolari's Acela trainset. However my CMP says that they are "missing depencies" even though I downloaded what I could find.

I typed in "Acela" in the search engine and used the "All" parameter, plus Trainz 2006, 2004, and Trainz options. I added all the Acela listings to Download Helper and they all downloaded. Am I missing something? A file not on DLS or an Acela file not listed in the Acela search parameter?

Same goes for Magicland's P40 locomotives. I only saw 3 entries when I did the search- his three locos. Thats it. Where are the missing dependencies?

On a side note, I can't find a P40 in a Phase V paint scheme anywhere on the DLS.

The acela gets taged that because of a config file error in 06. there is a fix somehwere here on the forums.

The reason you can't find a P40 in PhV is because all the PhV ones were P42s. The P40/42s need to be downloaded for www.protrainz.com they will contain all the needed files for it to run (they still are missiiing one, but it isn't needed) AGZ has a large collection of P42 phV reskins availble at our download area.

All that's left is the Acela fix for Trainz 2006. Where and what file is that particular fix?

Here's the Acela KUID's that are missing the dependencies....

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want to see Acelas fly through Trainz 2006 routes and layouts. (grin)

These assets
Acela Passenger Coach bogey,<kuid:9:50015>
Acela Passenger Coach vent,<kuid:9:50016>
Acela Express First Class Coach cab,<kuid:9:50021>
Acela Express First Class Coach door,<kuid:9:50022>
are on the DLS and are standalone assets, hence, can't have missing dependencies.

default_wagon,<kuid:-1:42004201> is the default enginespec that is builtin in Trainz and has no dependencies.

lets see from my memory; every Acela car has: 1 extirior asset, 1 cab asset, 1 door asset. the Cabs also had a choice of 2 different pantos. and the whole set had a set of bogeys, possibly the cabs had their own set. make sure you got all of them.

I went ahead and placed the Acela trainset in the Razorback route I'm using and a few issues cropped up.

1. Acela's engine Cab doesn't sppear at all! All I get is a first person view of the incoming track as if the cab was nothing but open air.

2. The windows on the Acela coaches seems screwed up- some windows are triangles while others are their usual rectangles.

3. When I try to go into the cab view of the Acela cars (not the engines), I get a similiar problem to problem #1. The cab view doesn't show up or function correctly.

Oddly, the AEM-7 I downloaded has cab view problems as well. I went into the AEM-7 cab, and half of it becomes brown or black, but if I scroll far down to the floor, I can get a 2 or 3 inch glimpse out the bottom of the window that magically reappears. When I pan back up, the brown / black half-screen blot comes up. Then to test the problem, I switch to the FP40 and all my other Trainz locos I placed (Big Boy, DD40AX, BNSF, Conrail, TGV, etc.) and they all work fine with cab views, windows, decals, everything.

I also tried to download the P42 pack (as well as the A-4400 series locos) from ProTrainz.com but they don't show up in my Railyard or trainz surveyor even though I deleted the KUID 50778:53000 as directed by the site in my CMP and CCP.

Guess this isn't my day. At least the Amfleet cars and the FP40 works fine.
 
The Acela interiors flat-out will not work in TRS06.


Compudoc apparently got it to work, but he's been mum as to how...:o
 
I downloaded the Amtrak Phase V locomotives from Protrainz but there is no cab view at all. What are the missing dependencies' kuids?
 
There is no cab for it, unfortunately.

However, if you have TC, you can use the cab of the P32ACDM for a "close enough" cab. (Unfortunately, it's not readily backwards-compatible, tho Ed got it to work with a little tinkering)

Now, the 50778:53000 KUID, as has been stated, is not actually needed, so you can just delete that from the KUID-table. :wave:

The 50778:53000 KUID shouldn't be in the KUID table. If it is, you don't have the latest version. If you don't have the latest version, well, figure it out...

I tried your suggestion on the Acelas and it worked like a charm and I'm using tr2006. This is the first time I have a cab view in the power car since I installed 2006.:)

I believe that trick work with the other cars as well (not the same kuid though!) In UTC there was cabview with all the cars.

I can't seem to figure out how to access the files to do this. I tried the "search" function on the Auran folder to search for filename of "config.txt" with "HSEL", "Cab", etc. word parameters inside the documents. No luck so far. I'm mod-illiterate, unfortunately. Where or how do I access these files to make the necessary changes?

Also, I still can't get the P40 / P42 locos and the AC-4400-AW locos to work either. Again, I'm mod-illiterate, so how do I get these to work? I downloaded from ProTrainz.com, the list on the main download page.

Keep in mind, I have TRS 2006 (re-installed), and haven't re-installed Trainz Classics yet. I uninstalled both Trainz's earlier this week because the content got messed up when I tried to transfer train locos and rolling stock between the two Trainz's.

On a side note, when I open a few Surveyor maps, like "Razorback" and "City and Country USA", I get messages in Spanish even though everything else is in English. This Spanish stuff only happens when I open Surveyor maps- it pops up in a black screen so I hit the lower right button to continue to the actual map and everything seem to work except for these locos and Acelas I mentioned above.

I apologize for all these questions. I'm trying to learn and understand Trainz stuff, as I'm pretty new to it.
 
I've tried to download the P42's from ProTrainz but I can't. My parents have parental control software courtesy of McAfee. It's preventing me from downloading ANY of Mark Hoffmans content.:'( :'( :'( Also, this is my 1st time posting on the forums.:D :D :D
 
Everyone is having problems with the site. Why can't the administrator just put a direct link to the .cdp instead of doing all of the work? It is pointless. I just want a P40. Please help.

the real question for the Acela is: who is going to make the Cafe/Bistro car so we can have a complete set? (better yet; who would like to update the set to 06/09 standards?)
